“I work in sports tech! I help our clients and prospective clients in media and sport understand how FanHub’s fan engagement products can add to their digital success”
What you will really be doing
- Contacting prospects from throughout the UK and Europe with a view to securing a meeting, with direction from the Head of Business Development, Europe
- Assisting with the preparation of presentations, proposals, statements of work and RFP responses
- Attending business development calls and meetings, and assisting with the presentation of our products to clients and prospects
- Account managing clients, particularly those whom you have helped bring in. This includes regular updates, reviews and also looking for new opportunities within those clients
- Assisting with promoting and marketing our products with the aim to bring in new leads
- Market and industry research, and identifying companies who might be interested in fan engagement products
- Ensuring PipeDrive, FanHub’s sales management system, is kept up to date with accurate client data and all business development conversations and activities
- Networking by using social media channels such as LinkedIn, sourcing potential leads via databases, websites
- Co-ordinating sales trips and conference schedules
- Bringing enthusiasm about the sporting industry to everything you do, and possessing a love and knowledge for fantasy sports, current technology & trends
What have we worked on recently?
- We have over 100 active products covering 15+ sports, including:
- The Sun Dream Team fantasy football platform with three game formats and native Apple and Android apps
- An exciting suite of products for the IOC, launching for the Tokyo Olympics
- Official NFL Predictor and Fantasy games syndicated with media partners globally such as Sky Sports
- A number of official products in the USA for the NBA, MLB, MLS and ATP, including NBA Trivia, MLB Quick Pick, and MLS Fantasy
- Innovative fantasy, trivia, prediction and polling games for European clients such as MotoGP Euroleague Basketball, and the Irish Times
- A range of market-leading products for the biggest Australian sport and media organisations such as Cricket Australia, the National Rugby League, the Australian Football League and many others
- Exciting new in-restaurant technology for USA-based Buffalo Wild Wings
The Team
You’ll be assisting the Head of Business Development responsible for the UK and European markets and working with a large scale cross functional & global team of producers/product managers, account managers, UX specialists, designers, developers, quality assurance & support teams
Skills & Requirements
- You are energetic and outgoing with very good written and verbal communication skills and have excellent engagement and presentation skills. You love meeting and talking to new people!
- You have a passion and knowledge for multiple sports
- Ideally you have at least 2-3 years experience in outbound sales and/or business development or 2-3 years working at a sports media/technology company
- You have experience in putting together presentations and proposals for pitches
- You have an ability to develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, particularly FanHub clients and prospects
- You have a good understanding of digital sports products and free to play digital games
- You have strong attention to detail and are extremely organised, process oriented, can multitask and can work quickly while delivering quality outcomes
- You are able to work independently when required but are ultimately a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to take on board feedback
- You are interested in helping solve problems, with excellent research and analytical skills and who is willing to learn new skills and adapt to change
