What you will really be doing

  • With direction from the Head of Business Development, Europe, you’ll be identifying new opportunities within both existing & new clients, and proactively turning leads into deals by working closely with the delivery team to accurately scope solutions that are robust, world-class, clearly articulated and accurately sized
  • Responsible for the preparation of presentations, proposals, statements of work and RFP responses 
  • Attending business development meetings and presenting our products to clients and prospects
  • Oversee the account management of some UK and European clients. This includes regular updates, reviews and also looking for new opportunities within those clients
  • Promoting and marketing our products with the aim to bring in new leads
  • Providing input & adding value to the Fanhub Account Management team and serving as a strong advocate of the relevant tools & processes within the company
  • Ensuring PipeDrive, FanHub’s sales management system, is kept up to date with accurate client data and all business development conversations and activities
  • Networking by using social media channels such as LinkedIn, sourcing potential leads via databases, websites
  • Managing sales trips and conference schedules
  • Bringing enthusiasm about the sporting industry to everything you do, and possessing a love and knowledge for fantasy sports, current technology & trends
  • Coaching, mentoring & providing feedback to junior members of staff with regard to Business Development & Account Management activities, tools & processes
  • Responsibility across the UK and European markets, working with a large scale cross functional & global team of producers/product managers, account managers, UX specialists, designers, developers, quality assurance & support teams

The Team

You’ll be assisting the Head of Business Development responsible for the UK and European markets and working with a large scale cross functional & global team of producers/product managers, account managers, UX specialists, designers, developers, quality assurance & support teams

 

Skills & Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Sales and or Account Management within a digital/technology environment
  • At least 2-3 years preferred working at a sports media/technology company with experience in fan engagement products
  • Proven ability to build client relationships with senior stakeholders and tier 1 clients/brands in order to effectively provide support in managing their expectations as well as identify new business opportunities
  • You are energetic and outgoing with very good written and verbal communication skills and have excellent engagement and presentation skills. You love meeting and talking to new people!
  • You must have a passion and knowledge for multiple sports and an excellent understanding of digital sports products and free to play digital games. Ideally you actively participate in products such as fantasy and predictor games.
  • Proven ability to run and facilitate client pitches and sales presentations to large groups of senior stakeholders with confidence
  • You have an ability to develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, particularly FanHub clients and prospects
  • Experience working with remote teams and co-workers and adapting to various styles of communication
  • Ideally you also have some product / project management skills as part of your past experience
  • You have strong attention to detail and are extremely organised, process oriented, can multitask and can work quickly while delivering quality outcomes 
  • You are able to work independently when required but are ultimately a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to take on board feedback
  • You are interested in helping solve problems, with excellent research and analytical skills and who is willing to learn new skills and adapt to change
  • An authentic, enthusiastic and proactive nature, along with a strong cultural alignment with our existing team
